  • Step 2: Look for the link dedicated to JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Registration.
  • Step 3: Provide your application number and password to access the application form.
  • Step 4: Enter your personal and educational details as per the specified guidelines and upload the required documents.
  • Step 5: Make the payment for the JEE Main 2024 application fee through the online mode.
  • Step 6: After completing all the necessary steps, submit your JEE Mains 2024 Application Form for Session 1. Don’t forget to download it for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2023

To appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023, aspiring candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria outlined by the authorities. Understanding these criteria is crucial to ensure that you are eligible to participate in this prestigious engineering entrance examination. Below are the key eligibility requirements for JEE Main 2023:

1. Nationality  :

  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Foreign nationals, as well as Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), are also eligible to apply.

2. Age Requirements  :

  • There is no age limit for candidates aspiring to appear for JEE Main 2023.
  • Candidates who have cleared the 12th examination in 2022 or 2021, or those who are appearing in 2023, are eligible to apply.

3. Total Attempts  :

  • For JEE Main 2023, students are allowed a maximum of three consecutive attempts.
  • The first attempt is typically made shortly after the 12th-grade board exams, and subsequent attempts can be made in consecutive years.
  • Since the exam is held twice a year, candidates have a total of six attempts during their eligibility period.

4. Qualifying Exam  :

  • To be eligible for JEE Main, candidates must have passed one of the following qualifying exams:
    • The final examination of the 10+2 system conducted by recognized Central or State Boards such as CBSE or CISCE.
    • The two-year Pre-University or Intermediate examination conducted by a recognized University or Board.
    • The final examination of the National Defense Academy’s Joint Services Wing’s two-year course.
    • Intermediate Examination with a minimum of five subjects conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling.
    • Any public school, board, or university examination in India or abroad recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, equivalent to the 10+2 system.
    • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
    • A minimum 3-year diploma from a state board of technical education or the AICTE.
    • Advanced (A) level General Certificate of Education (GCE) examination from London, Cambridge, or Sri Lanka.
    • Cambridge University’s High School Certificate Examination or the Geneva-based International Baccalaureate Office’s diploma.
  • Candidates must have studied at least five subjects in their qualifying exams, with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects. Those who have studied less than five subjects are not eligible for JEE Main.
  • For B.E./B.Tech, the subjects must include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, a language, and any other subject.
  • For B.Arch/B.Planning, the subjects must include Mathematics (mandatory), any Language, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, and any other subject.

5. Year Of Passing The Qualifying Exam  :

  • Candidates must have successfully completed their 12th-grade board exam or equivalent qualifying exams in 2021 or 2022, not before.
  • Students who will appear for their Class 12 exam or equivalent qualifying exam in 2023 are also eligible.

6. Diploma Holders  :

  • Candidates with a diploma can apply for the JEE Main exam.
  • However, the rank and exam score will not be considered for admission to NITs (National Institutes of Technology) or CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions).

7. Marks Eligibility for Admissions in B.Tech  :

  • General category candidates should secure a minimum of 75% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • Reserved category candidates should score a minimum of 65% marks or fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
  • These criteria are essential for admission to IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs, IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), and CFTIs.

8.Marks Eligibility for Admissions in B.Arch  :

  • Candidates should score 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent.
